FretFind 2-D

This is a 2-D Fret Placement Calculator. It was created to accommodate more exotic fretboard designs than possible with many other fret spacing calculators. It supports equal and just temperaments, single and multiple scale lengths, and partial and non-parallel frets (similar to the patented Novax style fretboards). To make this possible FretFind 2-D models frets, fretlets and strings as a system of lines in a two-dimensional plane and calculates fret placement on each string independently. I have begun creating the next version of FretFind 2-D. You can find the beginnings of that version here. It has an interface for scale searching, creating, listening. The code for both versions has been released under the terms of the GPL.

The Original FretFind Tools

This collection includes a fret spacing calculator, a reverse fret spacing calculator, two string property calculators and a frequency to note chart generator. These are all stand-alone, client-side scripts suitable to download and use offline.

Scala Scales and Microtonal MIDI Tools in PHP
